Introduction
I provide counselling and therapy to couples, families, and individuals who are experiencing marriage, parenting or relationship challenges as well as depression, stress, and grief.
Relationships fulfill and sustain us. Sometimes we are challenged to grow and change so that we may strengthen and deepen these relationships. At these moments we may feel afraid, confused or at a loss for what to do. Therapy is about asking for guidance as we begin to explore and accept change.
I work with the belief that we all share a common emotional experience despite the differences in the way we choose to express ourselves. As every issue is unique, I offer my clients the opportunity to tell their story in their own way. By tailoring the therapy to each client’s needs, I ensure that we are working toward the desired goal in a positive manner that is both useful and sufficiently challenging. My practice is collaborative and respectful, without judgment or bias toward gender, culture and sexual orientation.
I integrate emotion and solution focused therapy with cognitive and experiential approaches to help my clients explore the emotions and beliefs that influence behaviour. The objective is to gain greater self-understanding, resolve issues, and create healthier and more satisfying relationships.
