Introduction
Bev Behar has been working in the field of Marriage and
Family Therapy for almost 30 years seeing men, women, children, adolescents,
couples and families.
Some areas of specialization include:
- healing of couple and family relations
- marriage enrichment and preparation
- separation adjustment
- adjustments to major life events and orientations
- decisions
- grief and loss
- parent/child relations
- remarried family issues
- challenges coping with elderly parents, teens, and
children with special needs
- addictions of self or significant others
- family of origin issues (e.g. sexual abuse, adult children
of alcoholics)

- assertiveness issues
- depression, anxiety and worry
- Soul Feeding Program for Compulsive Eating
Bev runs therapy groups, and enrichment programs in couple
and family relations, emotional wellbeing and healing. She teaches,
trains, and supervises marriage and family therapists. Bev has been
a manager of a major Family Service Agency in the Greater Toronto
Area and Coordinator of an Employee Assistance Program. She has
been involved in organizational development and professional coaching.
Bev was the president of the Ontario Association for Marriage and
Family Therapy from 1999 to 2001 and a member of the Board of Directors
of the Canadian Registry of Marriage and Family Therapists.
