Counselling Approach
A wide range of traditional client-centred therapies are used. The meaning we give to our experiences shape how we live our lives. Your experiences and your words will be honoured and respected. Through conversation space will be opened for you to see beyond the problems and connect with a richer description of who you are.
My Counselling incorporates a wide array of strategies that are applied to you personally and to your presenting concerns. In general, recognition is given to the personal, relational and spiritual dimensions of your life as experienced and expressed in how you think, feel and act.
Congratulations on making the courageous step to seek assistance to deal with the circumstances in your life that are causing you distress. Most people go through seasons in their lives when their thoughts, feelings and/or behaviour are causing them to be less productive and joyful then they would prefer. It is at these times that entering into a counselling relationship can allow you to reflect on your life and adopt new skills, strategies and attitudes that can be beneficial as you proceed toward a more fulfilling life.
I believe that only in the face of compassion can truth be heard. My desire is that each session be viewed as a dialogue of hope
