Anger is really a secondary emotion that results from a primary emotion such as fear, guilt, shame, sadness, anxiety, hurt, jealousy, frustration, worry or disappointment.
When we judge or evaluate something as negative, we usually become upset. Angry thoughts lead to angry feelings. If we judge or evaluate something more positively, we will feel better and less angry.
