Couple/Marriage Counselling

Talking about our feelings is the key to more clearly understanding our own behaviours. I encourage my clients to be vulnerable and explore positive ways of expressing their needs as well as to appreciate, listen and acknowledge the experience of others.

Family Conflict Resolution

An immediate plan for de-escalating heated exchanges is provided. I help you see how lack of respect, harshness, blame, avoidance and fear break down the fabric of a relationship. We identify the negative patterns of communication and behaviour that often trigger these conflicts and what lies beneath them.

Major Life Transitions

Life changes are inherently disruptive. Whether you have just had a baby, are struggling with a challenging adolescent, a separation, blended family dynamics or a death, I will invite you to share your frustrations. Whatever transition you may be confronted with, the challenge is to accept what is unchangeable and to focus on what is within your control.

Depression, Stress, Self-Esteem

Often, these are the scars from the difficult events in our lives. We will explore layered emotions and meanings given to these events and discover alternative perspectives and better ways of coping. With your strengths in mind, we can begin to clarify what you wish for and how to achieve this.
