Many people seek help for depression, anxiety, symptoms of trauma and difficulty adjusting to life changes and stressors.  We provide a safe, neutral setting that enables clients to explore complex and often very painful or distressing issues in a contained, constructive manner.

We use a variety of therapeutic approaches (CBT, narrative, hypnotherapy/relaxation).  After a comprehensive initial assessment, we will select the treatment method that is most helpful for the client depending upon the issues.

At Hicks Counselling Services we build on existing strengths, skills and resilience and provide the tools and resources needed to help clients move from feelings of helplessness to a sense of competency.

“Therapy is a necessary, at times profound, educational method that teaches us how to be more fully human and live an optimum life.” (Lynn Grodzki, Family Therapy Magazine, 2004)
